Distance is a Moot Point in Cyber Space

(Written when I first met my husband-to-be)

A spark is struck across the miles

A heart beats faster spurred on by artful prose,

Imagination takes wing across the sea

Both curious and knowing, the juices flow...

I see you before me, a bold man and free

with a powerful stance and an unrelenting gaze

I recognize you for who you are

My heart skips a beat and I'm left in a daze.

You turn and walk away, I follow unbidden

drawn to you without reason nor rhyme

Knowing only that I must know more about you.

To that end I'll defy distance and time.
