tears long surpressed

unrealized as yet.

The Gods are fickle

and left us bereft

an unfulfilled promise

two soulmates unmet . . .

But tears cannot

remove the pain

of two hearts' desire

to again be twain

Ah, useless tears

against longing employed

Two sundered souls

one abysmal void
